This is a really interesting post because it brings back a point which I think can't be made enough - square pegs for square holes. If you are the 'web person' but you just can't get comfortable with the particular medium you're using, having given it a reasonably enthusiastic shot(I confess to struggling with MySpace at times), find someone in your organisation already using it personally. I believe they will 'get' how to use it professionally much faster from a standpoint of already being involved and talking in that space.
